52 Lives aims to change someone's life every week of the year and spread kindness. It is based on the simple premise that people are good, and lots of good people working together can achieve amazing things. We believe that kindness has the power to change people's lives, strengthen communities and ultimately change the world - while improving our own well-being at the same time.
People from all over the world can nominate someone in need of help. Every week we choose someone to help, share their story, request what they need and our supporters help to change their life.
One of the things that makes 52 Lives unique is that 100% of what people give goes to the person we are helping each week. Not a penny is kept by 52 Lives.
52 Lives is supported by almost 100,000 kind people and a range of high profile individuals who help us to change lives every single week. We have received awards from the UK Prime Minister, been promoted by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and our founder was named on the Independent's Happy List (the alternative rich list) of 50 people who make life better for others.
52 Lives founder, Jaime Thurston, has just had her second book published. 'The Kindness Journal' is filled with activities and inspiration to bring a little bit more kindness into your life, and into the world. It’s available in most bookshops - you can find out more and order here. 10% of her royalties go to 52 Lives.
