Many of you will remember, Claire Ollier - the little girl we helped in week 1. Our nomination this week comes from Claire's mum, Lynette, who has nominated her boss Janine.

Janine lives in Currumbin, on the Gold Coast in Australia. She has always been a brilliant manager to Lynette, but her kindness and understanding stepped up to a new level after Claire was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Lynette had only worked for Janine for a few months, but was given all the time she needed - a crucial act of kindness for someone in Lynette's position.

Shortly after little Claire became ill, Janine herself was diagnosed with cancer. She has undergone radiation treatment and will begin chemotherapy in January.

What cant control what life is going to throw at us, all we can control is the choices we make and how we treat one another. It's what 52 Lives is all about.

We thought an unexpected act of kindness is just what Janine needed to brighten up a very difficult time in her life - even if it's for just a few moments.
