#419 Stephanie

Request: Donations / Gifts / Kind Messages

This week, we’d like to help a single mum called Stephanie, who has a learning disability.

Stephanie has two boys, aged 6 and 8. Both children are on a child protection plan, as there have been issues of neglect due to Stephanie’s learning disability - she has sometimes struggled to understand what the children need. Her eldest son has behavioural issues and is on the waiting list for an assessment as they believe he might also have additional needs.

Stephanie is now getting ongoing support from social services and also from her extended family to help her meet her children’s needs.

She was nominated by the children’s social worker who has encouraged her to accept help - the children are in need of beds (they have been sharing their mum's bed), warm bedding, as well as a washing machine, and some other bits and pieces.

We’d like to help make sure the children have everything they need and give them the best possible chance at a fresh start together.

What We Need

1. Donations: We'll use your donation to provide beds, a washing machine and anything else the family needs. 100% of what you give will be used to help them.

2. Gifts from a wishlist: We've set up a wishlist some some of the things they need, as well as gift cards. To buy a gift from the list, please click the link below and choose the gift you'd like to buy - just tick 'this is a gift' and choose the 'gift registry address' when you check out and it will be sent directly to the family.

3. Kind messages: To send a kind message for the family, you can post it to: 52 Lives (419), PO Box 3154, Reading, RG1 9AT.

Thank you to everyone who gave feedback about our potential new donations system.
We have made some tweaks and are trying another variation to see what works best so let us know what you think!

Thanks to all of you, we were able to provide bunk beds, a washing machine, a sofa, a dining table and chairs, as well as lots of toys and clothes.
