This week, we’d like to help Nadia and her 1 year old son, who have been living in a hotel for the past six months after fleeing domestic violence. Her little boy has issues with his throat and has been wheezing a lot, which his GP suspects is due to smoke inhalation (the other guests in the hotel frequently smoke) and they have both developed significant skin conditions from the bedding. Nadia didn’t want her son to have to stay there for so long, but they had nowhere else to go.

Nadia just found out they have been granted an emergency move to other temporary accommodation due to the issues they’ve had, but the property they have been offered is completely empty.

Nadia has spent all of the money she had, as there were no proper cooking facilities in the hotel so they spent a lot on food. It has left her with nothing.

They were nominated by her son’s social worker, who asked if we can help provide some of the essential items they need in their new property.
