#385 Aidah

Request: Donations / Gifts / Kind Messages

This week, we’re trying to help a woman called Aidah and her three children, who have been living in a travel lodge.

Aidah was abused by her extended family over a long period of time and, more recently, was threatened with a weapon by her husband. Her and the children moved out, but he found them so they had to move again and were placed in a travel lodge.

They have been living there - all in one room - for months. Aidah was heavily pregnant while they were moved from place to place and has recently had her baby. She was also studying, but between the constant moving and her pregnancy, it was too much so she couldn’t continue.

They were nominated by their social worker, who said they are all in desperate need of kindness.

Just as this story was being written, Aidah found out they have been allocated a council house, which they are moving into tomorrow! But it has no cooker, no washing machine, no fridge and they don’t have any beds. She also doesn’t have many of the things she needs for her baby.

We’d like to provide them with as much as we can.

What We Did

Thanks to all of you, they now have a fridge, washing machine, cooker, beds, a cot, a double buggy, storage furniture, a tv, toys, bedding, an abundance of nappies and wipes, gift vouchers for clothing and SO many kind messages and gifts.

Thank you so much for making sure they didn’t have to move into an empty house! You’ve given them a brilliant beginning in their new home and really helped Aidah to feel supported.
