This week, we’d like to help a young, pregnant mum called Jessie and her 2 year old son.

Jessie lived in a very violent household when she was little and ended up in the care system. She is now 22 and is a single mum.

She had a partner, but he was also violent. The police became involved and she has recently ended the relationship. Before her ex-partner left, he destroyed a lot of their belongings and poured bleach over her clothes. Jessie has been distraught. She has a lot of anxiety anyway and this has made things a lot worse for her.

With your help, we’d like to buy Jessie some new clothes, replace their broken fridge, and provide some toys, books and storage furniture for her son. Jessie doesn’t read or write very well and mentioned she would like to do a course to help her with this – so we’d like to pay for that for her too.
