#376 Three grandchildren

Request: Donations / Gifts / Kind messages

This week, we’d like to help grandparents who have taken in their three grandchildren to avoid them being placed into care.

The children moved in with them due to concerns over drug use in the home. One of the grandparents isn’t well enough to be able keep working, and the other is about to be made redundant.

The children’s bedrooms are very cramped and it has been a real financial struggle for the grandparents to take care of them and provide everything they need.

They were nominated by the children’s social worker, who was concerned about the pressure the family is under. A teacher at the children’s school said the grandparents… “have provided love and stability for the children after an incredibly turbulent start to their young lives. They are kind and friendly children who always look out for others. I cannot think of many people more deserving.”

We’d like to help give the children new bedrooms, making the best possible use of the space they have. We’d also like to help with the cost of school uniforms, heating and groceries, to take a bit of pressure off.

What We Did

Thanks to all of you, we were not only able to redecorate and furnish the children’s bedrooms, but also paid for a little summer holiday for all of them too! We also provide vouchers for clothing and some help with groceries as well. Thank you all so much for making life better for them.
