This week, we’d like to help a woman called Veronica (Ronnie).
Ronnie and her three young children fled domestic violence and have had to move to a new area. They have left their home, their school and their friends behind.
Their new school is almost an hour’s walk away. It means Ronnie and the children now have to travel on two buses every day to get to school. It’s really expensive for her and also means they have to leave the house at the crack of dawn to get there on time.
Ronnie was nominated by her social worker, who said: “Ronnie is trying so hard on a low income to care for all the family by herself. She would really benefit from some support.”
Ronnie would love to be able to cycle the children to school, and with your help, we’d like to provide bikes and helmets for all of them.
They also had to leave all their white goods behind, so we’d like to provide them a fridge and washing machine, as well as some clothes and toys for the children.
