This week, we’d like to help a woman from Yorkshire called Margaret, who sadly lost her husband.
She has a teenage daughter who has been struggling with severe anxiety, to the point where she hasn’t been able to go to school. Margaret has depression, and has also been diagnosed with a kidney disease.
Support workers from the council have been trying to provide some emotional and practical help for the family, but they have reached the limit of what they are able to do.
One of her support workers said: “Margaret lives in a small cottage, but struggles to cope. They have no oven, no cooker, the home is in dire need of some paint, and the carpet has gotten so bad it needs to be ripped up. Money is tight for them and I’m not sure how much they both eat. We are really hoping that once their home is in better shape, they can try to move forward and look upwards.”
We’d like to help.
