#301 Hundreds of children

Request: Craft packs / Donations / Kind messages

We need your help to do something kind for hundreds of children in need over the summer.

A special holiday activity and food programme is being run in Berkshire over the summer holidays, to provide some support to struggling families.

An amazing local charity called Cowshed will be working in partnership to hold weekly sessions for the children, where they can come along to do arts & crafts and have a meal provided for them. It will also be a chance for parents to learn more about the support that's available to them.

The summer holidays can be a difficult and expensive time for families who are struggling financially – and sadly this year there are more families than ever in that position.

With your help, we’d like to help by providing arts & crafts packages for the children to take home with them at the end of the day. It might seem like a small thing, but for the children receiving them, it most definitely isn’t.

What We Need

1. Gifts from a wishlist: We've set up a wishlist filled with arts and crafts materials for the children. To buy something from the wishlist, please click the link below. You will be taken to Amazon, where you can choose a gift that will be sent direct to Cowshed.

2. Donations: We'll use your donations to buy crafts materials, food and anything else that will help the families. To make a donation online, please click the link below. To donate by text, please use the details in the box provided.

3. Kind messages: To send a kind message for one of the families, please write your message in the form below and we will pass it along (your contact details will not be shared). Or messages can be posted to: 52 Lives (Life # 301), PO Box 3154, Reading, RG1 9AT.

What We Did

The craft materials you bought were a hit!

Thanks to all of you, we were able to provide almost £2000 worth of arts & craft materials for the programme, allowing children to have crafts packs to take home at the end of the day.

It might seem like a small thing, but for the children receiving them, it most definitely isn’t.

Thank you all so much - and thank you Cowshed for sharing these photos with us.
