This week, we’d like to help a little girl called Annie. She is 6 years old and has a rare form of cerebral palsy.
Annie has seizures and can’t walk or talk. She usually moves around her home by crawling along on her tummy.
Their carpet is very old and has worn thin, so there are nails poking through, which is incredibly dangerous for Annie. Her mum covers them as best she can, but it’s not safe.
Annie’s seizures often happen during the night. Her mum once found her blue and unresponsive after a seizure, so Annie now sleeps in her mum’s room.
Her mum is a single parent, and cares for Annie mostly on her own (Annie isn’t allowed any contact with her dad due to safeguarding concerns.)
We’d like to help make life a little bit easier for her, and safer for Annie.
