#286 Alesha

Request: Donations / Kind messages

This week, we’d like to help a 15 year old girl who is suffering. She has been terrified at home, while also being severely bullied at school.

Alesha has lived in fear since she was 8 years old. Her step dad was abusive to her mum, and would also threaten and intimidate Alesha. She was scared all the time. Even when they were no longer living with him, he continued to harass them – even threatening to kill her mum.

They have been moved to somewhere safe, where he can’t find them, but it has meant Alesha has had to leave her life and her friends behind.

Alesha has a severe skin condition, as well as several other complex health conditions. She has been bullied at school about her appearance, to the point where her mum often lets her stay home, as she’s so worried about her daughter’s mental health.

Despite what she's going through herself, Alesha also manages to be a big support for her mum, helping to care for her little sister. Her mum said: "She has been my biggest physical and mental support...she's carried me through all this."

The whole family has been through so much, and we’d like to help make life better for them.

What We Need

1. Donations: We'll use your donation to pay for some private treatment to help Alesha's skin condition, as well as furniture and clothing for her and her sibling. 100% of what you give will be used to help her and her family.

2. Kind Messages: We'd love to send Alesha as many kind messages as we possibly can. She really needs a boost. To email your message, please write it in the form below (your contact details will not be shared). Or you can post a message to: 52 Lives (Life # 286), PO Box 3154, Reading, RG1 9AT.
