This week, we’d like to help two teenage boys from Wales to start a fresh life for themselves.
Both boys had very difficult childhoods, to the point where social services took the decision to take them into care – one was taken into care at 12 and the other at 15.
They have both have spent the past 12 months living in supported accommodation with the Llamau homeless charity, learning independent living skills to get them ready for the next part of their life. Their support worker said these young men face enormous challenges, and have very little family support or encouragement. But they have worked hard, and have even started college.
They will both soon be moving out of the homeless project and into their own accommodation for the first time in their lives. But they are starting with nothing.
These boys haven’t been given very much in life… but with your help, we want to give them all the things they’ll need to make a home of their own, and give them the best start possible. We also want to give them all the love and support we can, to let them know there are people who care about them and who are willing them to do well.
