Request: A double buggy (with seats stacked up, not next to each other)

This week, we are back to London helping a young girl who is pregnant with her second child.

She arrived in the UK as an unaccompanied minor, pregnant, having been through a horrendous ordeal.

She has a 1 year old little boy and her second baby is due in a few months. As you can imagine, she is in a fragile emotional state. Alone, lonely and vulnerable.

The young girl and her baby survive on food vouchers, but due to her pending status in the UK, she cannot receive benefits yet. So she is completely reliant on charities for baby equipment.

I spoke to the lady who nominated her last night, and she told me she wasn’t sure if anyone would want to help this week. She was worried people might be judgmental of the young girl’s legal status or consecutive pregnancies. But I have faith that people are kinder than that!

So…

Do you have, or know someone who has, a double buggy that we can donate to this young girl?

We need one with one seat on top of the other, rather than next to each other – so it can fit through her door.

Please spread the word and let’s see if we can help.

What We Did

We managed to find a double buggy, a brand new baby cocoon, a travel cot and some Mothercare Gift Vouchers.

Thanks so much to Simon and Marie from Staines for donating their buggy, to the amazing Richard H. for buying the new cocoon, to Alex for donating her travel cot and to everyone who bought gift vouchers.

You have made a young girl incredibly happy!
